Riverview Town Councillor-At-Large Says Becca Schofield Will Leave Lasting Impression

Becca Schofield asked, and people continue to rally behind her to ensure her wishes are met.

Becca was diagnosed with brain cancer two years ago, but doctors have now given her less than a year to live.

In an effort to complete all of the things on her bucket list, she has asked everyone to do good for each other, and from there the #beccatoldmeto movement was created. It has gone viral, and people around the world are now embracing it.

Councillor at Large in Riverview Tammy Rampersaud says it makes them all very proud, “So sad, but also so beautiful at the same time. She has created an overwhelming kindness movement like no other.”

Rampersaud says she is one of many who is proud to say that Becca lives in her community, “Some might say this isn’t a happy time in the world overall, but to have someone living, not just nearby, but right in our community, putting out such kindness and warmth and asking others to embrace that and put it forward, that’s just amazing. “

Rampersaud says there’s no doubt this will continue, “It won’t fizzle away. She has left a lasting impact with us. What she has put inside our hearts, has made us recognize the need for being kind to other people, that won’t be gone.”
