The outpouring of community support continues for 17-year-old Rebecca Schofield who will be honoured today by the Rotary Club of Moncton West and Riverview.
Schofield will receive the Paul Harris Fellow Recognition which is the highest honour a Rotary Club can bestow on a person.
The award acknowledges “service above self” which an individual has offered to their community, their nation or the world.
After learning she had terminal cancer, Schofield launched a social media campaign last month called #BeccaToldMeTo which encourages people everywhere to perform acts of kindness.
Schofield is expected to attend today’s lunch hour Rotary Club meeting.
