Nearly 2,800 people in the Town of Riverview had their power turned off as a safety precaution after a natural gas leak, according to an NB Power Spokesperson.
Though the outage grid indicates 2,767 people are still without power as of 6:20 p.m., Marc Belliveau believes that will drastically decrease soon.
Belliveau said the estimated end time of 7:30 p.m. is unlikely for most customers, and power will be restored long before that.
