The provincial government is investing $2.6 million to upgrade a nursing home in Riverview.
Finance Minister Cathy Rogers has announced renovations will be carried out at the Salvation Army Lakeview Manor, a 50-bed facility.
The announcement is part of the Gallant government’s five year plan which includes investing more than $100 million in nursing homes across the province.
The plan also involves building ten new nursing homes with 60 beds each and more than 400 beds will be added in special care homes for people living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
