Riverview Mayor Says New Operations Centre A Highlight For 2017

2017 brought the opening of a brand new Operations Centre on Robertson Street in Riverview.

Mayor Ann Seamans says this was a big deal, partly because it came in $1.5 million under budget.

The new centre opened on April 29th.

It serves as a central location for the Town of Riverview’s engineering and public works staff and the parks and facilities division, and includes three radiating wings: administration, service bays and vehicle storage; as well as outlying facilities for salt storage, cold storage and fuel tanks.

Seamans says, “It is a far better infrastructure to keep all of our equipment in place. It leaves land where our old Public Works building was on Pine Glen Road. That land is now up for sale, and there has been interest in purchasing it.”
