A house fire on McAllister Road in Riverview is not considered suspicious according to a preliminary investigation by Riverview Fire and Rescue.
Deputy Chief Mitch Short says firefighters are still looking into the cause.
Around 11 o’clock Sunday night, firefighters found heavy flames coming from the back of the house but quickly extinguished the fire and began checking for hot spots.
Damage to the home was extensive but isolated to the back.
No one was hurt.
The homeowners are currently staying with family members.
