The Town of Riverview is trying to crackdown on residents who haven’t been paying their water and sewer bills.
Riverview currently has about $560,000 in overdue residential and commerical accounts and that is beginning to impact the town’s finances.
Director of Finance Robert Higson says the large number of delinquent accounts means less money is available to pay for town maintenance, operations and capital improvements.
Residents who don’t bring their bills up-to-date soon could face having their water and sewer services disconnected.
