Rising Tide Receives More Funds From Moncton

Moncton City Council has approved the release of another $2 million to support the Rising Tide organization.

Rising Tide Inc. has a goal to provide housing and support to vulnerable individuals in the community.

This is the second installment from the City of Moncton which has pledged $6 million over three years in partnership with matching funds from the provincial government.

In its first year of operation, Rising Tide Inc. has purchased several properties and has partnered with YWCA and with Harvest House.

The organization is now in discussions with three agencies over managing the tenants within a 21 unit building.

To date, Rising Tide Inc. has housed 15 individuals with a commitment to house between 64 and 84 by the end of 2022.
