Reusing N95 Masks

It was labelled as a big no-no at the beginning of the pandemic.

The idea of re-using a mask to some is ok, while others abhor the idea — despite everyone being affected by covid-fatigue.

The highly sought after medical grade respirator, N95’s, were tested and found to be reusable when sanitized in an efficient way.

A study out of the American Journal of Infection Control, determined that the N95 masks can be reused upwards of 25 times.

They were sanitized using a vaporized hydrogen peroxide formula. The masks were able to retain their integrity and efficiency in filtering.

According to the peer reviewed study, it did require quite a multitude of coordination aspects to do this successfully.
