You have probably cancelled your plans for tonight.
The snow continues to fall, and it has been a rough afternoon for motorists.
Roads are snow covered and slippery, and there is still zero visibility in some areas.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Claude Cote says the heavy snow is expected to continue until later tonight, “We’re pretty much into the brunt of the event right now, so visibility is reduced in snow and blowing snow. Conditions will improve by around 9pm this evening. The total snowfall accumulation is expected to be over 15 centimetres of light, fluffy snow. The temperatures is expected to rise to around minus 3 Celsius by this evening.”
As for tomorrow, Cote says, “Just looking at lingering, light flurry activities. No further snowfall accumulations, but just remaining overcast and a few flurries here and there.”
Students across the region had the day off today, due to the weather.
