The provincial government has released a report on what you had to say if you took part in the public dialogue meetings that were held around the province.
More than 12 hundred people did take part in the government’s Strategic Program Review. In addition to that, more than 9,000 ideas were received by the government online, by email or snail mail.
We’re told the most frequently mentioned ideas were to stop giving tax breaks to large companies and raise corporate taxes but, at the same time, invest in local businesses and create more New Brunswick products. Invest more in agriculture and promote local products…… Reduce duplication in healthcare and education…..Raise the HST…….Impose tolls on highways……..Raise royalties and don’t give away our natural resources as well as improving the province’s image.
