Codiac RCMP say a teenager wielding a replica gun was the reason for a 911 call yesterday.
Staff Sergeant Mark Janes says officers received a call about a teenager, possibly armed, with a group of friends.
It turned out the 15 year old teenager was carrying a BB gun that uses compressed air to fire pellets, however, it looks exactly like a real gun.
Janes says until officers got their hands on it, they were unable to tell if it was real or a replica.
He says it’s vitally important that people don’t carry, display or use replica weapons in public.
