It is a difficult time of year, especially if you have lost a loved one.
Executive Director for Hospice Greater Moncton Tradina Meadows-Forgeron says the Angels Remembered campaign helps to pay tribute to those who have passed on, “It’s a very emotional time for both the clients and for us, but it is so important to remember loved ones at Christmas time. We make these hand made angels throughout the year. We actually have Katimavik students that make it with us, students from across NBCC, they help us make angels and we sell them in November and December in memory of a loved one.”
The angels can be hung on the tree at the Hospice Shoppe, or you can take them home, for your own tree.
Meadows-Forgeron says the stories she has heard are very touching, “I actually had a grandmother come up, and her daughter recently lost her baby. There were a lot of tears shed on both sides and she hung an angel on the tree in memory of her grandson.”
The Angels Remembered program runs until December 20th.

Paper angels can be purchased at Kent Building Supplies locations in Greater Moncton. Handmade angels by volunteers can be found at Front Porch Mercantile, Glass Roots, Close to the Heart, and Boutique Mystral.
Other handmade angels, glass angels and the Angel tree, where you can hang an angel in memory of someone, can be found at the Hospice Shoppe on Collishaw Street.
