Record Heat Across New Brunswick

The extreme heat has shattered records throughout New Brunswick.

Environment Canada says at least 11 communities set new record highs on Thursday.

The high in Moncton was 34 degrees which beats the old record of 33 degrees from 1949.

Bathurst and Charlo were the hot spots in the province at 37 degrees.

Miramichi and Kouchibouguac were not far behind at 36 degrees.

If you wanted to cool off, the Fundy coast had highs in the low 20s.

A heat warning continues today for the province and more records could be broken.
