RCMP seek tips after late‑night assault in Moncton

The RCMP is asking for the public’s help after a man was assaulted in Moncton.

Officers were called to Lutz Street near Park Street around 10:10 p.m. on January 10.

Police said a man was walking to his parked vehicle when someone approached him and assaulted him.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but police said those injuries were not life‑threatening.

The RCMP said the suspect left the area before officers arrived.

Police described the individual as a Caucasian man with long curly black hair. He is believed to be between 6‑foot‑1 and 6‑foot‑2, and weighs about 220 pounds.

Police said he was wearing a black T‑shirt and black pants at the time of the incident.

Anyone who was in the area, or who may have security or dash‑cam footage from that time, is asked to contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506‑857‑2400.
