RCMP searching for second suspect after John Street incident

RCMP are looking for the public’s help after a reported assault with a weapon in downtown Moncton.

A man told police he was approached at around 6 am on John Street by two others who pointed weapons at him.

The man wasn’t hurt, but the two individuals fled before police arrived.

A 19-year-old Moncton man was arrested later that same day. He was released from custody with a court date in October.

RCMP are still searching for the second person.

If anyone has information or has security camera footage from the time of the incident, contact the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.
