RCMP Issue More Than 100 Tickets For Unsafe Driving And Other Violations

A traffic enforcement operation in Greater Moncton last week lead to more than 100 tickets for unsafe driving and other violations.

On November 10, 2021, RCMP conducted a traffic enforcement operation in Dieppe, Moncton and Riverview targeting distracted drivers and speeding.

During the operation, more than 100 traffic violations were issued and four vehicles towed under the New Brunswick Motor Vehicle Act. These included 38 tickets for speeding, 14 for using hand-held electronic devices while driving, 11 for expired vehicle inspection certificates, and four for failing to wear a seatbelt.

In addition, 25 warnings were issued for various infractions, and two drivers were charged for driving with a suspended licence.
