RCMP Investigating Stabbing At West End Motel In Moncton

RCMP are looking to speak to a person of interest after a stabbing early Tuesday morning.

Sergeant Mathieu Roy says officers were called to the Go Motel on West Main Street just before 5am, where they found a 40-year-old man with serious injuries.

He was rushed to hospital, but Roy did not have an update on his condition.

The man they are looking to speak with is described as between 5’5 and 5’6, with a scruffy beard and a slight build.

Roy says he spoke English but with a thick French accent, and he is believed to have left the scene on foot with an injury to one of his hands.

He was described as wearing a brown coat with yellow and green stripes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Codiac RCMP 857-2400.
