Provincial RCMP’s Major Crime Unit are investigating after the discovery of human remains in the Upper Derby area – 15 minutes south of Renous.
The RCMP says Saturday, shortly before 6:30 in the evening, police were called by a person who found the human remains while travelling along a dirt road near the intersection of Highway 8 and Route 415, northeast of Blackville.
The death is considered suspicious at this time.
Further investigation is being conducted along with an autopsy to determine the identity of the person and cause of death.
