RCMP charge 2nd person in Brandon Donelan murder

RCMP have laid a second murder charge in the death of a Minto man more than a year ago.

Officers found the body of a man in a wooded area between Minto and Chipman on March 31, 2022.

The victim, who was later identified as 27-year-old Brandon Donelan, had been missing for two months.

A 40-year-old woman from Newcastle Creek was arrested on June 21 and charged with first-degree murder.

On Thursday, police arrested a 33-year-old man at a correctional facility in Dorchester, where he is currently serving a federal sentence on an unrelated matter.

The man, who is also from Newcastle Creek, was officially charged on Friday.

Both accused remain in custody and will return to court at a later date.
