Rainbow Crosswalks To Be Painted On Moncton’s Main Street

The City of Moncton will be getting a whole lot more colourful in the coming days.

City Councillors unanimously overturned a previous decision to wait for a Transportation Action Committee report on the safety of rainbow crosswalks.

Councillor Shawn Crossman brought forth the motion in June and the issue was discussed further last night.

This decision came as no surprise to him, “I always felt that the City of Moncton was always an inclusive city and wanted to celebrate being a diverse community in the country.”

Crossman expects we will see the crosswalks painted on Main Street by next week.
