Rain And Wind Storm Packs A Punch In Southern NB

A wind and rain storm knocked out power to southern New Brunswick, with thousands of residents still without electricity this morning.

Here in the Greater Moncton area, not much of an impact power wise, but it did pack quite a punch.

Environment Canada says Saint John recorded the highest wind gusts at 89 km/h.

Moncton had a peak wind gust of 74 km/h.

Rainfall amounts generally ranged from 15 to 30 mm across southern New Brunswick.
