Public Input On Climate Change Needed

The provincial government is looking for your input on climate change.

A select committee is preparing to consult with the public to discuss how New Brunswickers can strengthen their efforts to fight climate change.

To come up with ideas, the committee is asking those interested to read their discussion guide called “Building a Stronger New Brunswick Response To Climate Change”

The committee expects to hold public meetings in August and September.

Copies of the discussion guidecan be obtained online from the Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, P.O. Box 6000, Fredericton, N.B., E3B 5H1; or by telephone at 506-453-2506.

The committee is inviting the public and interested stakeholders who wish to make a presentation on the issues discussed in the guide to advise the Office of the Clerk of the Legislative Assembly by July 15.

The committee is also accepting written briefs. They should be submitted to the Office of the Clerk by Aug. 19, by email at leg-consultations@gnb.ca, by mail, fax or online.
