Provincial Liberals Enjoying Surge In Popularity

A new poll shows the provincial Liberal party is enjoying a post federal election surge in popularity.

The poll from Corporate Research Associates shows a 19% increase in support for the New Brunswick Liberals, reaching 55%.

These gains came primarily from the New Brunsick NDP party who dropped from 25% to 12% support.

The Progressive Conservatives also dropped in support from 28% down to 25%.

Overall satisfaction with the governing Liberals jumped to 53%, from 38% in September.

Premier Gallant’s personal popularity also rose 13% to 39%, with interim PC leader Bruce Fitch, NDP Leader Dominic Cardy, and Green Party leader David Coon all losing ground.

These results are based on a phone survey of 803 New Brunswickers conducted between November 5th and November 30th.
