The provincial Green Party leader says it’s time to try different economic stimulus.
David Coon has been travelling around the province promoting his new Green Jobs Bill.
He says it is designed to create jobs in the energy efficiency, green buildings, renewable and clean technology sectors.
“The stimulus is being driven by the idea we could produce more of our own energy inside New Brunswick based on clean technology, renewable sources that we have abundant resources for,” says Coon.
He adds the Green Jobs Bill would help reduce our greenhouse gas emissions while creating new business opportunities in our local economy.
Coon made a stop in Fredericton on Saturday, and over 80 people attended discussions on the Green Jobs Bill.
He’ll be in Moncton tonight, at the Lions Community Centre on St. George St, from 6:30pm until 7:30pm.
