New Brunswickers will be able to visit select provincial parks starting this week.
As part of the orange phase in the COVID-19 recovery plan, some parks and attractions will open with limited services and without events, programming or co-ordinated activities.
“The tourism industry plays an important economic role in each region of the province. That is why we are pleased to be moving into a new phase of the recovery plan, which allows more services to be provided to New Brunswickers,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Bruce Fitch.
“All appropriate measures will be in place to ensure the safety of visitors and employees. Services will be offered differently than before but, by following the Public Health directives, we will be able to enjoy again the wonders and beauty of our province while continuing to contain the spread of the COVID-19 virus.”

On Friday, Mactaquac, New River Beach, Anchorage (Grand Manan Island) and the Fundy Trail Parkway will reopen.
Parlee Beach, Mount Carleton, Herring Cove, Murray Beach, de la République and Val-Comeau will reopen on May 22.
Kings Landing will open on June 3 while Hopewell Rocks is set to open June 5.
These facilities will open with services including trails and public washrooms while interpretation, shuttle services, gift shops and restaurants will be available where physical distancing is possible.
The province has not established dates yet to open several locations including Cape Enrage, the Miscou Island lighthouse and visitor information centre, and Ministers Island.
