Province releases details on 6 new school projects

More details have been released about where several new schools in New Brunswick will be going.

The province announced this week that six major capital projects will be started in the 2024-25 fiscal year.

It includes the construction of an anglophone K-12 school in Dieppe and a replacement for Salisbury Elementary School.

Also included in the list is an addition and upgrade to École Saint-Henri in Moncton.

The province plans to spend $20.1 million for the six new major school projects.

Funding has also been earmarked to extend the lives of Bessborough and Hillcrest schools in Moncton.

Other funding includes $152.9 million for ongoing projects, $12.5 million for the provincewide ventilation project, and $2 million for a universal washrooms program.
