A step in the right direction……..That’s the reaction of the Common Front for Social Justice at hearing the proposals to increase the minimum wage from both the Liberals and NDP.
Jean-Claude Basque of the Common Front says they would like to eventually see what has been called a livable wage which he pegs at 14 or 15 dollars an hour.
Basque says raising it to even 11 dollars an hour would have a positive impact on poverty. The Liberals say they would raise the minimum wage to 11 dollars an hour by the end of 2017.
