New Brunswickers will now receive separate property assessment and property tax notices.
Property assessments will be sent out next week, starting October 1.
Meanwhile, the tax notices won’t be issued until March 1.
Anyone wishing to dispute their assessment will need to file a Request for Review online or by phone (1-888-762-8600).
The deadline to request a review is November 2.
If you agree with your assessment there is no further action required.
The separation of the notices follows an auditor general report on property assessment services. The provincial government says they are one of the last provinces to make the adjustment.
