Patience has almost paid off for the President of the Food Depot Alimentaire in Moncton. He may soon see his hopes for all area food banks to be under one roof, come true.
Dale Hicks says the deal isn’t signed yet, but he is optimistic that they’ll be getting good news very soon.
They’ve been hoping to obtain the Garrison Building on St. George Street, but says it’s always a slow process when you’re dealing with the government.
He says he has been hearing from some pretty reliable sources that something is going to happen very shortly, and with federal election coming, that always seems to speed things up a bit.
If they are able to purchase the building, the FDA would stay put in their location in the Caledonia Industrial Park, but all of the other area food banks would move into the Garrison building.
