Preparations For Graduation And Prom Underway

Whether you are graduating from grade 8, or getting ready to leave high school altogether, it can be one of the most memorable times of your life.

Lloyd’s of Moncton is just one of the retailers in the city, that helps to ensure schools have the right colours, balloons and other necessities to help celebrate..

Manager Tish Graham says, “Next week is the busiest week, when it comes to graduation. Not only are we doing the middle schools and the high schools, we also have a few colleges thrown in there as well.”

Themes include schools colours, rainbows and unicorns, a starry nigh and they’ve even had a few requests for accessories to make it a red carpet VIP style event..

“If you were to come into our store, you’d see a sea of balloons, in all different kids of colours. We also have the individual families who are throwing parties for graduation at home or at halls. We can customize in all kinds of different decor for those school colours.”

Graham says, they even get the odd costume rental, “We had a grad come in to rent a prison jumpsuit, and that is what he is wearing to his grad prom. So I’d say that is probably the oddest thing we had happen this year.”
