Preparations Continue For Royale Greater Moncton Santa Claus Parade

One weekend to go until Santa Claus comes to town.

This year’s Royale Greater Moncton Santa Claus parade is expected to be another big event, that attracts over 100, 000 people to the Hub City..

The deadline for float submissions has passed, and Parade President Robert Gallant says the work is well underway, “Everyone is building away. There’s an amazing number of volunteer hours that go into this. Corporations and non-profits, high schools groups, and more that are all working hard right now to put on a great float and a great event.”

Almost 100 floats are expected in this year’s parade, “We usually have around that mark, byt the end of registration. We really excited with the ideas that have been put in. With the new theme each year, we look forward to what people are going to come forward with and wow the crowds with,” Gallant adds.

This year’s theme is Canada 150, Christmas now and then.

The parade is planned for November 25th, starting at 5pm. It will also feature another fireworks display over City hall.
