Premier Brian Gallant is going on the attack in response to charges of an asset grab being made by the Opposition Conservatives in requiring wealthier seniors pay more for their nursing home care.
Gallant says actual physical assets, like the family home, will not be part of the calculations and claims his government is actually putting more money into pockets of those seniors who are not wealthy and need help.
Portland-Simonds M-L-A Trevor Holder says it appears the Gallant Government is in turmoil and making policy in a panic.
