Premier Brian Gallant is not ruling out examining Policy 409 and how schools reviews and closures are handled under the Strategic Program Review.
Considering the closure of two schools resulted in court action, Gallant was asked if his government is ready for pushback on this issue and to make the really tough decisions.
Gallant says he realizes how important education is to New Brunswick and how these tough decisions have an effect on people.
Two more elementary schools in the province are facing closure while the school communities of Lorne Middle and Brown’s Flat Elementary wait for a judge’s decision on whether to overturn the closure decision.
