Poppy campaign begins Friday

Remembering those who gave their lives and served for our freedom.

The Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Campaign begins tomorrow (Friday).

Legion member Andre Boudreau says this time of year is extremely important.

“The further away we get from the Second World War, we remember other conflicts, and remember that we have people serving today. It’s important to remember those who have served, and honour the ones who continue to do so,” said Boudreau.

All money raised through the campaign goes back to families of veterans in your community.

Contact your local legion if you’re interested in volunteering.
