Poor Air Quality Statement Issued For NB

In addition to a heat warning for most of the province, a special air quality statement has been issued for New Brunswick today.

Environment Canada says high levels of air pollution have developed due to smoke from forest fires.

Smoke plumes from fires in Quebec have resulted in poor air quality in Northern New Brunswick.

Smoke will gradually move southward and may affect Southern New Brunswick later today.

Air quality conditions are expected to improve behind a cold front tonight.
