Police seek help after suspected assault on Moncton trail

Police need help tracing what happened to a man who was found seriously hurt on a Moncton trail.

Officers responded to a biking trail behind High Street at approximately 6:11 p.m. last Thursday.

They found a man lying on the ground, suffering from injuries believed to be caused by an assault.

The man was taken to the hospital with injuries that are believed to be life-threatening.

Investigators are trying to find out what happened and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

They want to hear from people who were in the area at the time or who have dash cam or security camera footage.

Tips can be shared by calling the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400.

Anonymous information can be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), through the P3 Mobile App, or online via Secure Web Tips.

Police have not released further details about the man’s identity.
