Police looking for suspect after man had foot run over in Sussex

A 61-year-old man had his foot run over in a hit and run, and now police are asking for the public’s help to find the suspect.

It allegedly happened Tuesday around 7 p.m. in Sussex on Church Avenue, according to a news release from the RCMP.

They say the man was standing outside when a vehicle hit his foot, did not stop, and continued on southbound to Wards Creek Road.

They describe the suspect as a young male with short hair driving an older model of a gold-coloured Toyota sedan.

If you have seen the vehicle or have any information related to the incident, police ask you to contact the Sussex RCMP.
