Police investigate arson in Moncton

The RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in an arson case at a residence in Moncton.

At 3:30 a.m. on June 17, authorities were notified of a fire at a house on Williams Street.

After investigating, it was found that the fire was deliberately started on the front porch. The smell of smoke woke up the homeowners, who managed to escape unharmed.

Police have now released surveillance video images of two suspects who were seen on the property, hoping that someone might recognize them.

Anyone who can identify the individuals in the pictures or has information that could aid the investigation is urged to get in touch with the Codiac Regional RCMP at 506-857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
