Plane lands safely in Halifax after declaring emergency

A plane has landed safely at Halifax Stanfield after making a mayday call.

The emergency call came in at 10:50 a.m. and it landed shortly after 11 a.m. on Sunday.

According to FlightRadar, it was a Boeing C-40 Clipper and owned by the U.S. Navy.

Reports indicate about 20 people were onboard.

No word on what caused the pilots to initially declare an emergency.
