Further details are now being released in connection with a plane crash at the Bangor Airport.
Officials stated in a news release this afternoon that the flight manifest said there were actually six people onboard the Bombardier CL600 flight.
No one from the incident was transported to the hospital, and all are presumed dead. Their identities are not being released, pending identification.
The crash happened at around 7:45 pm ET on Sunday night when the plane was departing the airport. Heavy snow was falling at the time, but airport officials have said there were snowplowing and de-icing crews clearing runways, and other planes were arriving and departing from the airport.
Multiple emergency crews responded.
According to the flight manifest, there were six people on the flight. No one from the incident was transported to the hospital, and all on the flight are presumed to be deceased. The identities of the people on the flight are not being released publicly at this time, pending identification.
The airport remains closed at this time. There are numerous flight cancellations and diversions. Passengers are encouraged to contact their airlines for information regarding impacts to their travel plans.
The Federal Aviation Administration is on site, and the National Transportation Safety Board will also be investigating.
NTSB says there are three primary areas of investigation. They are the pilot, the aircraft and the operating environment. As part of the process, they’ll gather documents and information. Those include flight track data, air traffic control communications recordings, aircraft maintenance records, witness statements and any surveillance footage.
A preliminary report will be made available by the NTSB within 30 days.
