People Are Paying More for WI-FI, Internet and Cable

We are paying more for cable, WI-FI and Internet services than ever before.

According to the CRTC, the average household is forking over $191 per month on communication services. It’s an increase compared to 2012, when we were paying roughly $185.

Household spending for Internet services climbed the most, hiking $4.42 to $35.37 per month.

No surprise, spending on home phone service went down by two dollars to $32.85.

The commission states the prices of telephone, television and Internet services all increased at a higher rate than inflation, which was 0.9% in 2013.
