PEI RCMP Issue Stern Warning To Teens

RCMP on Prince Edward Island have learned about a car rally for teenagers which is being organized for either this weekend or next.

Mounties in West Prince County have issued a stern warning urging teens not to participate.

A number of tasks are believed to be involved in the car rally including excessive speed, running red lights and drinking shots of alcohol in a given period of time.

Police have zero tolerance for this event and say they won’t hesitate to lay charges since many of the tasks violate the Criminal Code.

Anyone with information about this event is asked to call the West Prince RCMP at 902-853-9300 or report it via Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS) or at
www.peicrimestoppers.com and follow the instructions, or * Text ‘TIP162’ plus your message to 274637 (CRIMES).
