Progressive Conservative leader Blaine Higgs spent Labour day on the hustings in Moncton and announced a plank in the healthcare platform.
Higgs says if elected he is pledging to reduce wait times for hip and knee replacements and gynecological services by 50 percent.
Higgs also unveiled a three-pronged approach, which will see more doctors recruited by scrapping the antiquated billing number system, train and retain more nurses by removing barriers of accreditation, and match patients with the right health care.
