Pathologist Continues Testimony At Murder Trial

The jury hearing more testimony from pathologist Dr. Ather Naseemuddin at the second degree murder trial of Dennis Oland for the death of his father. He couldn’t give an estimate of when the fatal injuries to Richard Oland happened.

Dr. Naseemuddin, who performed the autopsy on Oland’s body, told the court he doesn’t recall seeing any open sores. Earlier, the defense was suggesting Richard Oland was a touchy feely sort of person who had sores on his scalp and might have transferred his blood to the clothing of other people when he was speaking to them.

He also testified the injuries to Oland’s head looked like they were made in quick succession and the injuries to his hands indicate Oland was still conscious and attempting to defend himself.

According to the pathologist, the cause of death was multiple sharp blows to his head with blunt force.
