A pair of lost hikers being rescued after eight hours in the woods in the Kennebecasis Valley.

We’re told the man and woman went out hiking at 1:30 in the afternoon behind the Fox Farm Road. They had a cell phone with them and were able to pinpoint their GPS coordinates for emergency personnel who were then able to track them with the help of the SJPD canine.

Kennebecasis Regional Police tell us the hikers were quite hypothermic when found at 9:30 at night and were taken to hospital.

They’ve since been released and are doing well.
