Outpouring Of Emotion During Marissa Shephard Court Appearance

The Moncton courtroom was filled with family and friends of Baylee Wylie, Marissa Shephard, Stephen Nagle and Krystal Toole.

There was also a variety of emotions, tears, anger and relief.

Outside of the courtroom, Baylee Wylie’s aunt and mother declined to comment, stating they needed more time. They told us it has been a difficult day, and they would make a statement in time.

Stephen’s Nagle’s mother, who chose not to give us her first name, appeared in tears outside the courtroom, “I feel bad for Baylee Wylie’s mom, I feel bad for all of them. She lost a son and we all got caught up in that mess. And I now have a grandson who lost his mom and day both.”

She says she firmly believes her son was there to try and convince Marissa Shephard to turn herself in, “Honest to God, because I seen him yesterday and he was alright when I seen him. He was very good, and I believe that was what he was trying to do.”

Nagle says Stephen’s son, her 5 year old grandson is doing okay, she just hopes he doesn’t have to see all of this when he grows up..
