Organigram is expanding in Moncton again.
They’re preparing themselves to make edible and infused marijuana products, which they expect to be a major part of the future and recreational market for cannabis.
They’re acquiring additional land beside a property they currently own on Engish Drive. It is being purchased for $600, 000 cash.
According to a news release, the company plans to build a facility equipped to make edible and infused marihuana products.
Organigram says it wants to be prepared for consumer demand, once the legalization of marijuana goes through.
Closing of the transaction for the 2.6 acre property is expected to occur or before March 31, 2017.
