A popular ride service that ensures people a safe way of getting home during the holiday season is suspending its program this year.
Operation Red Nose has released a statement regarding their decision, saying they’ve carefully considered the current public health situation and its logistical impact on the service.
It goes on to say they will still be promoting responsible consumption and the importance of planning a safe ride home.
They’ll be releasing details on their awareness campaign next month.
Operation Red Nose is involved in over 100 communities across Canada, including 4 communities in New-Brunswick.
Every year, the safe ride service raises on average 1.5 million dollars for local organizations dedicated to youth and amateur sports
