MONCTON, NB–A change of plans for Moncton High students.
Superintendent for the Anglophone East School District Gregg Ingersoll says they toured the new school in the Royal Oaks area off Elmwood last week, and have decided that they will delay the September opening.
He says, “It became obvious to us that while most of the school is finished and is going to be ready, there are still some areas of the school that won’t be completed.”
He says they want the transition for the students to be very positive, and they want the students to have full access to the whole school.
The construction is expected to be completed by October, but they will then start bringing the students over by grade level, and the staff will also get a chance to visit the school, and they hope to have the students fully moved in by January.
Students will be returning to the current Moncton High located on Church Street in September.
